This week was our first ever Wellbeing Week. We had lots of activities planned to promote physical and mental health. Skipping workshops and a sports event taught children the importance of physical activity for their physical and mental health. Each class also had a yoga workshop and learned about mindfulness activities. Activities such as the teacher swap encourage children to broaden their relationships with different adults. We also introduced a ‘no pens’ morning to think about the many different ways we learn new things. The week was a real success and we are looking to repeat it each year, and also introduce aspects of it into our regular timetables.
