Some of the children's wonderful work from home :)

Finding tenths of lengths is simple when you know how fractions link to division!

Science Week experiments! We investigated water resistance on different shapes to see which would sink the quickest. We had to make sure everything but the shape of the playdoh we dropped was the same so that the experiment was a fair test.

We read to Year 1 and they read a story to us! Book week is all about sharing stories!

As a part of Book Week we wrote our own "I know.. I wish... I will..." poems.

Our African Music Workshop was incredible!

For Book week we visited Waterstones to use our vouchers to purchase our own choice of book!

This half term in Science we have exploring the world of Rocks and Soils!

Year Three have conducted our own experiments based off our slef generated questions surrounding this topic.

We observed and thought about the effects of water on different rock types.

We came to the conclusion that sedimentary Rocks are the weakest rock and that they are nearly always permeable.

Rock and soil investigating

Performing our own poetry!

Dancing with our African animal inspiration

Year 3 have had a wonderful start to the year, showing brilliant behaviour and how keen they are to learn. The children have shown a mature, curious and respectful approach  to the start of KS2 and we are all looking forward to a fantastic year together learning!

We have begun our work on The Stone Age, learning about the time in history and the habits of the people who lived in this time. Our English text of Ug Boy Genius of the Stone Age by Raymond Briggs has helped us with this and we have decided what from the story would be reflective of the time and what would be fiction.

In maths we are working on money linked to place value and number and created a toy shop. This helped us to learn to add and subtract using a real world scenario.

A huge thank you to all parents that have come on the Natural History, British Museum and Somers Town Church trips, you have been extremely helpful!
