Music is taught at Edith Neville School by a specialist. Each child (from Reception to year 6) receives a weekly music lesson and attends a fortnightly singing assembly. The EYFS staff are confident in delivering music activities and the use of song suffuses their environment. Children in Years Four and Five also receive drumming lessons at our local secondary school Regent High.
Music at Edith Neville is a creative and enjoyable activity, as well as a highly academic and demanding subject. It also plays an important part in helping children feel part of a community. We provide opportunities for all children to create, play, perform and enjoy music. Our Assemblies and Christmas shows are a wonderful time of year when all children have the opportunity to learn and perform musically together.
