The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding targeted at pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The grant is provided in order to support these pupils in reaching their potential and close the attainment gap between them and their peers.
The amount of money the school receives each year is dependent upon :
– the number of pupils registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years,
– the number of pupils identified in the January school census or the alternative provision census as having left local-authority care as a result of one of the following:
– the number of pupils that have been in local authority care for one day or more.
